# 🤖 Does the App Support AI Columns?

Yes, our app supports AI-powered columns — as long as the column type and setup are compatible across the boards involved.

### 🔍 How it works,

If you're using an AI column on one board — for example, a column that uses Monday.com's AI features to extract text from item updates or descriptions — the sync will function as long as the corresponding column on the target board:
* Is of the same column type (e.g., Text, Status, People, etc.)
* Has the same column name
This ensures that our app can map the AI-generated content from one board to the appropriate column on the other board without issues.

### 🧠 Example

Let’s say you have an AI column on **Board A** that uses automation to extract keywords or summaries from item updates.
To sync this data to **Board B**, simply:
1️⃣ Create a **Text** column on Board B.
2️⃣ Name it exactly the same as the AI column on Board A (e.g., “Summary”).
3️⃣ Make sure both columns are of the **Text** type — not a different format like Long Text or Status.
Once these conditions are met, the app will sync the values just like any other column.

⚠️ **Note:**
The AI functionality itself (e.g., text extraction) only runs on the original board where the automation is configured.
The target board will receive the *output*, but not re-run the AI logic.

✅ **Best Practices:**

* Keep column names consistent across boards.
* Avoid mixing column types (e.g., syncing a Text column to a Status column will not work).
* If you're unsure which column type your AI column is, you can check via the board settings or consult Monday.com's documentation.

💡 *If you're using AI columns as part of a template or workflow automation, syncing them properly helps maintain continuity across boards — especially when managing tasks, generating summaries, or tagging items automatically.*
