🧩 Column Matching — Manual Mapping Is Deprecated

Column matching in Same Item Multiple Boards

Manual Column Mapping has been deprecated. The former mapping preview and its Create column button are no longer part of the sharing flow. Manual item sharing is still available.

How columns sync now

SIMB matches supported columns automatically by their names and types. On each board, make sure the columns you want to sync have the same name and column type. Create any missing columns directly on the destination board in monday.com. A column with a different name or type will not sync just because the items are shared.
For example, a Status column called Priority should match another Status column called Priority. A Text column with that name is a different type.

Share an item

You can share through the SIMB item view, automations, batch actions, or the new Shared Boards đź”’ column. None requires the retired manual mapping window.

Use the Shared Boards column

On your board, click + to add a column and open the Column Center. Search for Same Item Multiple Boards and add its Shared Boards column. Click an item’s cell to choose a workspace, destination board, and group. The column displays board-name chips showing where the item is shared. Add it separately on each board where you want to use it.
Shared Boards is separate from Item Locations. Adding the sharing column does not remove the need for matching names and types on the data columns you want to sync.
Read the Shared Boards walkthrough or troubleshoot columns that are not syncing.
